Walks from the doorstep - If you don’t fancy driving anywhere, you picked the right spot as there are plenty of walks just from the doorsteps. A popular destination is the local pub in Trellech which is a 2,5 hour round journey from us.

Brecon Beacons - The National Park offers a number of stunning hikes; our personal favourite is the trek to the top of Pen y Fan at 886 metres above sea-level. Unspoilt scenery!

Symonds Yat - For those of you who prefer a flat walk, Symonds Yat is a great destination. You can trek right next to the River Wye or even rent a kayak on warmer days.

Tintern - Besides the stunning walks Tintern is also home to an almost 900 years old abbey which is a must-see attraction in our area.

Black Mountains - There are plenty of hiking destinations in the Black Mountains, including the 596 metres high Sugarloaf peak which is situated right next to Abergavenny. You can also visit the Sugarloaf Vineyards on your way to the car park for some wine tasting or a light snack.

ENTERTAINMENT

Dell Vineyard - For wine lovers we certainly recommend a visit to the Dell Vineyard which is a small, family run vineyard based between the beautiful Usk and Wye Valleys in Raglan. Get in touch with Lucy at 07891 951862 to organise a tasting.

Zip World Tower - If you are after a bit of adrenaline rush, the Zip World Tower won’t disappoint. It is the fastest seated zip line in the world, and Zip World’s steepest!

Virgin Balloon Flights - An unforgettable experience starting from Raglan with Noby at Virgin Balloons – the best ever way to start your day.

White Hare Distillery - The distillery is located in Usk and has an amazing gin selection with a cosy bar area. Pop in for a delicious G&T.

FOOD SCENE

Lion Inn - A proper countryside pub in Trellech with delicious food from local produce at a reasonable price.

The Whitebrook - Michelin star restaurant 15 min away from us – a mind-blowing experience if you are after a real treat.

The Black Bear Inn - Cosy pub close to Abergavenny with a short menu but outstanding quality.
